  2. It's 1 bunch of fresh green beens... A bit larger than what you think will fit in the pickle jar..

They're so crunchy, delicious, and addicting that you'll just want to keep eating them. Pack beans cut side up leaving a ½ inch headspace. These dilly beans are fermented with salt to add a probiotic twist to this easy recipe. If you have it, fresh dill gives an extra pop of flavor.

Cheaters' dilly beans instructions

  1. Clean beans by washing and snapping off stem ends..
  2. Blanche the beans: bring a pot of water to a boil. When boiling, add beans. Cook 1 minute. Don't cook any longer... they won't be crunchy anymore..
  3. Immediately drain beans and plunge into an ice bath (a bowl of ice water) for 5 minutes..
  4. When cooled, place the beans in the jar with the left over pickle juice. Chill in fridge for 3 days..
